Heat wave conditions predicted during the week.
Met Office informed that due to a persistent loftier pressure in the upper atmosphere the solar day temperatures are likely to remain unusually high in most parts of the country during the calendar week.
- Day temperatures in Northern Balochistan, Upper Sindh, South Punjab, Kashmir and adjoining areas will remain 09-10°C above normal.
- Solar day temperature in Islamabad, Upper & Fundamental Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Lower Sindh and South Balochistan will remain 07-08°C above normal.
Possible Impacts:
- Dry menstruation and estrus wave conditions in the country may cause h2o stress to the standing crops, vegetable and orchards.
- Farmers are advised to manage ingather water accordingly.
- Early harvesting of wheat may start in Sindh and Southward Punjab.
- Unusual high temperatures may cause pollen concentration to rise sharply in Islamabad and Lahore.
- General public is advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to straight sunlight.
- Grit raising/Gusty winds are also expected in North Balochistan, S Punjab and Upper Sindh during the period.

Met Function informed that a westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of the country on Sat (night) and likely to persist in upper parts of the state till Thursday. Under the influence of this weather system:
- Rain-wind/thunderstorm with snowfall over hills is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Zhob, Musa Khel, Waziristan, Dera Ismail khan, Bannu, Bhakkar and Layyah from Sat (night) to Tuesday.
- Rain-current of air/thunderstorm) with isolated heavyfalls/hailstorm expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from Saturday (nighttime) to Thursday with occasional gaps.
